Commonwealth Shared Scholarship Scheme
Overview
Commonwealth Shared Scholarships are offered in partnership with select UK universities. Funded by the UK Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO) Commonwealth Shared Scholarships enable talented and motivated individuals to gain the knowledge and skills required for sustainable development, and are aimed at those who could not otherwise afford to study in the UK.
These scholarships are intended for students from developing countries who would not otherwise be able to afford to undertake Master’s level study in the UK, to gain skills and knowledge which will allow them to contribute to the development of their home countries.
Eligibility Criteria:
To be eligible for this scholarship, you must:

Be a citizen of or have been granted refugee status by an eligible Commonwealth country, or be a British Protected Person

Be permanently resident in an eligible Commonwealth country

Be available to start your academic studies in the UK by the start of the UK academic year in September 2023

By September 2023, hold a first degree of at least upper second-class (2:i) honours standard, or a lower second-class degree (2:ii) and a relevant postgraduate qualification (usually a Master’s degree)

Not have studied or worked for one (academic) year or more in a high-income country

Be unable to afford to study at a UK university without this scholarship

Have provided all supporting documentation in the required format
Number of Awards:
There will be 8 awards offered between the University of Warwick and Commonwealth Scholarship Commission for entry in 2023/2024.
The Taught Masters courses offered for the academic year 2023/2024 by the University of Warwick in partnership with the Commonwealth Scholarships Commission are the following 8 courses only. Please note that each course has its own entry requirements that must be met in order to successfully apply for a place.
