Voices That Matter Scholarship 2020
Overview
2020 Scholarship Award – Women in the Screen Industries in partnership with MTV Staying Alive Foundation.
Recognising the importance of accessibility and equality within the screen industries, MetFilm School is pleased to announce the 2020 Voices That Matter Scholarship – Women in the Screen Industries, supported by MTV Staying Alive Foundation, (MTV SAF), an independent organisation housed by Viacom.
2020 Voices That Matter Scholarship – Women in the Screen Industries is a scholarship designed to support the next generation of female filmmakers, recognising the importance of accessibility and equality within the screen industry.
A recent skills audit of the UK Film Industry by the Work Foundation for the BFI found that the industry is severely lacking in female talent.
The scholarship only applies to MetFilm School degree courses, the BA and MA programmes in London and Berlin. There are two scholarships available, one in London and one in Berlin.
Viacom is one of the world’s largest multinational media companies who also own Paramount Pictures.
