Bicentenary Global Futures Scholarships (Canada)
Overview
To celebrate its bicentenary in 2024, Manchester is proud to offer more than 200 awards to international students commencing their studies in September 2024. The total value of scholarships offered will be over £3.5 million, and awards will be open to prospective master’s students.
Master’s awards
The University of Manchester is proud to offer more than 100 merit-based master’s scholarships to prospective international students from a range of countries across the globe.
The value of The Bicentenary Global Futures Scholarships for students from Canada is £8,000; scholarships will be awarded in the form of a discount on published overseas tuition fees.

Eligibility criteria

Applications will be considered from international fee-paying students domiciled in Canada.

Applicants must apply for the scholarship via an online form byâ¯15 March 2024 andâ¯will be considered based on academic merit and the quality of their application. The link to the application form will be emailed to all applicants.

Decisions will be made on the applicant’sâ¯performance in their bachelor’s degree.

Applicants will be considered for the award based on academic merit and the quality of their scholarship application, but we will endeavour to achieve a balance by gender, domicile and course in the allocation of the awards.

Applicants must be self-funded (not sponsored).

Applicants for MBA, MPhil, Master of Architecture (MArch), Architecture and Urbanism (MA), Master of Landscape Architecture (MLA), Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE), Clinical Medicine and Dentistry degrees are not eligible for the award. Some ‘Master’s by Research’ courses are also ineligible.
