Overview
The Leeds School of Arts scholarships will be awarded on the basis of exceptional academic performance and design experience, evidenced through an interview and design portfolio. Applications are open until 22 April 2024.

Filmmaking and Creative Technologies
Funding Available - 6 x 50% scholarships
The awards are available for full-time taught Master’s courses and will be applied as fee waivers towards the cost of tuition fees.

Subject-specific criteria:
Applicants should either have at least a second class honours degree or have equivalent experience or training, normally from within the work environment.

You must receive an unconditional offer from Leeds Beckett for MA Documentary Filmmaking, MA Screenwriting: Feature Film and Continuing Series, MA Curation and Exhibition, MA Cinematography, or MSc Creative Technology 22 April 2024.

Shortlisted scholarship applicants will be invited to an online interview in May 2024, during which you will be asked to present your portfolios, which may include university and practice-based projects.

You must also satisfy all of the conditions of entry for postgraduate study at Leeds Beckett University.
Architecture
Funding Available - 7 x 50% scholarships
The awards are available for full-time taught Master’s courses and will be applied as fee waivers towards the cost of tuition fees.

Subject-specific entry criteria:
Have achieved a UK first-class or upper second (or overseas equivalent) undergraduate award from an Interior Architecture, Architecture, Landscape Architecture or Spatial Practice course.

You must receive an unconditional offer from Leeds Beckett for the Master of Architecture, MA Architecture Futures, MA Landscape Architecture, MA Urban Design or MA Expanded Practices courses by 22 April 2024.

Have achieved at least a UK first-class or upper second (or overseas equivalent) undergraduate award from a related course.

You must receive an unconditional offer from Leeds Beckett for the MA Graphic Design, MA 3D Design, MA Fine Art or MA Fashion by 22 April 2024.

Acoustics, Wellbeing and the Environment
Funding Available - 2 x 50% scholarships
Subject-specific criteria:
You must have achieved a UK first-class or upper second (or overseas equivalent) undergraduate award from an Audio and Acoustics course or equivalent.

You must receive an unconditional offer from Leeds Beckett for the MSc Audio and Acoustics course by 22 April 2024.

Choreographic Practice
Funding Available - 2 x 50% scholarships
Subject-specific criteria:
You must have achieved a UK first-class or upper second (or overseas equivalent) undergraduate award from a dance or performance related subject.

You must receive an unconditional offer from Leeds Beckett by 22 April 2024.

Performing Arts
Funding Available - 2 x 50% scholarships
Subject-specific criteria:
You must have achieved a UK first-class or upper second (or overseas equivalent) undergraduate award from a course pertaining to the performing arts, which includes but is not limited to, Acting, Dance, Music Performance, or Creative Technology.

You must receive an unconditional offer from Leeds Beckett by 22 April 2023.

You must also satisfy all of the conditions of entry for postgraduate study at Leeds Beckett University.
Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for the Leeds School of Art scholarships you must:

Be assessed as having an ‘Overseas or EU’ residency status.
-
Be assessed to pay the overseas fee.
-
Be studying the relevant course full time.
-
Be actively enrolled on an eligible course.

Be a self-funded student, who is paying the full course fee for that year (those students who have their tuition fees paid by a third-party sponsor, employer or government agency will not be eligible).

Studying that level of the course for the first time (i.e. not repeating any level during that year).
