We have a fixed number of Progression Scholarships for students starting study in the 2021/22 academic year.
The awards are worth £500 in total; these non-repayable grants are paid directly to your bank account in the first year only. The Progression Scholarship can be received alongside the Cumbria Bursary if a recipient is eligible and ranked to receive both awards.
You do not need to apply separately for the Progression Scholarship, simply applying for your student funding through your funding body will enable us to assess your eligibility alongside the information you provide on your UCAS application form.⯠However, it is important that you apply for income assessed student finance through your funding body (e.g. Student Finance England) as early as possible.⯠In your application you must give consent to share your financial information with your Higher Education Institution.â¯
If you're eligible, be sure to complete your funding application before 2nd October 2021.
Please note: We only contact successful candidates.⯠If successful, you will be notified in writing during October or November.⯠Letters are sent via the Student Loans Company; these will be forwarded to the correspondence address given on your Student Finance application and can also be accessed online via your student finance account.
