Overview
The College of Engineering, Design & Physical Sciences (CEDPS) Academic Excellence Scholarship is a cash award available to full-time students commencing specified undergraduate courses in the College of Engineering, Design and Physical Sciences.
Award details
Value: £2,000 cash each year for a maximum of three years for a full time course and for a maximum of three years for a sandwich course. The scholarship will only be paid once for each eligible level of study, subject to normal progression criteria having been met (additional payments will not be made during a repeating year, regardless of the reason for repetition).
Scholarship holders may be requested to represent Brunel at various promotional activities throughout their time at the University. Participation is not mandatory and scholarship holders may be contacted with invitations to participate in activities such as surveys, focus groups and interviews, in order to evaluate the University’s financial support package. Scholarship holders will be contacted as and when participation is required. If a student chooses not to participate, their scholarship award will not be affected.

Eligibility
Scholarships will be awarded to all those applicants who meet the following eligibility criteria:

Must hold an offer of a place on a full time Undergraduate course within the College of Engineering, Design and Physical Sciences (including placement routes and undergraduate integrated Masters programmes but excluding Integrated Foundation courses), a list of eligible courses can be found in appendix 1.

This includes offers made through UCAS Clearing. Clearing applicants must ensure that they inform the Student Loans Company (SLC) at the earliest opportunity that they are attending Brunel University London. The SLC must notify Brunel University London by 27th September 2024. Failure to do this will result in the applicant not being considered for the award.
Those not eligible for this Scholarship:

Applicants entering a course in the Foundation year, FHEQ Level 5 (Year 2) or FHEQ Level 6 (Year 3).

Applicants entering a course with Brunel Pathway College (BPC), or who are progressing to a Brunel course from a BPC course.

Applicants who will not commence their course in the upcoming academic year - applicants holding offers for deferred entry will be considered for a scholarship in the year they start their course and not in the year of their course application.
