The Sophie Drozdzik Memorial Scholarship (UK/EU - UG)
Overview
The Sophie Drozdzik Memorial Scholarship was established in honour of Sophie Drozdzik, who was due to join Bournemouth University in 2015 to study BA (Hons) Television Production.
Sophie developed juvenile myoclonic epilepsy just before her 17th Birthday, whilst studying at college. She passed away whilst suffering from an epileptic seizure during the summer of 2015. She had excelled in her qualifications at Warwickshire College and was due to receive an Academic Excellence Scholarship from BU. In recognition of her academic endeavour, her dedication to learn and her outgoing character, her family, college and BU have developed this scholarship in her memory.
This is available to students who studied a creative subject at the Warwickshire College Group* and who show academic achievement and evidence a commitment to helping others – be that at home, in the community or at college, to provide a tribute and legacy to Sophie.
