Swansea University Medical school offers undergraduate courses with foundation pathway route in medicine

Swansea University Medical School offers undergraduate programmes in medicine for the international students for 2019. In addition to the bachelors’ degrees, the school is also offering the distinguished 4-year Graduate Entry Medicine (MBBCh) programme for the students with a bachelor’s degree in any discipline. This programme is not the usual MBBS but an alternative route for the students. The successful completion of the degree allows you to progress to Foundation 1 within a clinical environment.

The undergraduate courses offered are:

BSc Applied Medical Science
BSc Biochemistry
BSc Medical Biochemistry
BSc Genetics
BSc Medical Genetics
BSc Pharmacology
BSc Population Health and Medical Sciences

These bachelor degrees have a foundation pathway route that allows the students to start with foundation and end up becoming a doctor. Applied Medical Science, Medical Biochemistry and Medical Genetics bachelor programmes offer a pathway to MBBCh too. The students can have a second chance at studying medicine, or study on these programmes before committing to their career as a doctor.
