La Universidad de Central Lancashire abrirá la undécima Escuela de Veterinaria del Reino Unido

La Universidad de Central Lancashire ha anunciado que abrirá la undécima Escuela de Veterinaria del Reino Unido.

La escuela proporcionará programas básicos, de pregrado y posgrado en áreas que incluyen medicina veterinaria, ciencias bioveterinarias, fisioterapia y rehabilitación veterinaria, y práctica clínica veterinaria, y la primera admisión de estudiantes del Reino Unido e internacionales a la licenciatura en ciencias veterinarias y los cursos básicos serán en septiembre de 2022. Mientras que los estudiantes de Licenciatura en Medicina y Cirugía Veterinaria se esperan a partir de 2023.

La profesora Cathy Jackson, Decana Ejecutiva de la Facultad de Ciencias Clínicas y Biomédicas, dijo: “Nuestra nueva escuela de veterinaria se enfocará en producir graduados listos para la industria muy necesarios para nuestra región, particularmente cuando las cifras recientes han resaltado una escasez nacional de veterinarios y un sector depende en gran medida de los veterinarios formados en la Unión Europea".
