Edge Hill University’s Language Centre is located on the ground floor of the new £6m Law and Psychology building, which has contemporary teaching and learning facilities with a 265-seat Harvard style lecture theatre. The Language Centre is accredited by The British Council and BALEAP (The Global Forum for EAP Professionals) and is also a member of English UK.

Edge Hill Language Centre English Courses

September – June

English Language Development Course – this year round course provides further language development and includes aspects of British culture.
International Foundation Programme – this is a level 3 course designed to enhance language skills, study skills and subject knowledge.
In-sessional Language Support – this is language support for international students registered at the University.

June – September

Pre-sessional Course – this 6 week course is designed to improve your academic skills to help you with your studies.
English Language Development Course – this summer programme provides further language development and includes aspects of British culture.
English Plus Business – this summer programme provides English language with aspects of Business.
English Plus Computer Science – this summer programme provides English language with aspects of Computer Science.
For those interested in teaching English to speakers of other languages, Edge Hill Language Centre also offers the MA TESOL course.
