St Mary’s International Country Scholarship (UG)
Overview
This scholarship gives students a £1,000 tuition fee discount per year of undergraduate enrolment (excluding placement years with a reduced tuition fee). It is automatically applied to offer-holders ordinarily resident in countries the OECD designates as receiving official development assistance. In 2023, this includes Bangladesh, Ghana, India, Nepal, Nigeria, Pakistan and Sri Lanka. Please see the full list of eligible countries at the end of this page. Students who meet the requirements will be awarded the St Mary’s International Excellence Scholarship instead of the St Mary’s International Country Scholarship.
Eligibility criteria
Undergraduate international scholarships are open to first year undergraduate students who:â¯
-
have been assessed as overseas fee payers, including British passport holders
-
have applied to study full-time on campus for 2024/25 entry.
Programmes at foundation and undergraduate level, including the Chelsea Football Club Foundation Coaching and Development FdSc, are eligible for the international undergraduate scholarships. Awards are made at the discretion of Stâ¯Mary’s University.
Only offer holders who are successful in securing a scholarship will be notified within six weeks of receiving their offer of study.â¯
Please note that scholarships are awarded on a rolling basis. Candidates whoâ¯apply for their programme of study earlyâ¯may therefore have a greater opportunity of success.
By accepting the International Scholarship, you agree to represent St Mary’s University through your degree programme. This may include activities such as providing testimonials or content for social media and other marketing activities, andâ¯participating at University open days or international promotional events (in-person or virtually),â¯subject to teaching timetabling and availability.
