Faculty of Engineering Research Excellence Scholarship

This competitive scholarship recognises and rewards outstanding international students who apply to study a full-time engineering PhD.

These will be awarded in each year of your three-year PhD, subject to satisfactory progress.

We are looking for applications from exceptional students who are committed to pushing the boundaries of engineering. Students who are excited about the prospect of working with some of the world’s leading researchers and who aspire to be the best in their profession.

To apply for this scholarship, you must:

• be classed as an overseas student for fee purposes
• hold an offer to start a full-time PhD in the Faculty of Engineering at University of Nottingham UK with a start date that falls on or between 1 October 2020 and 1 February 2021
• have a first-class undergraduate degree or an MSc with distinction in a relevant subject – work experience, published journal papers and other impressive achievements (prizes, top-in-class etc) will be considered

Scholarships will only be awarded to students who accept their offer to study with us. You do not need to respond to your offer before applying for this scholarship. If you are offered a scholarship and do not then accept your offer, your scholarship will be offered to another applicant.
