The scholarship value is £19,000 per year for three years to cover tuition fees and maintenance allowance. Additional funding of up to £2,000 per year is available to support placement, overseas institutional visit, research training and conference attendance at the discretion of the Faculty PGR Committee Chair.

The funds are made available through the Division of Development and Alumni Relations (DDAR) from donation to The University of Manchester.

The total award value is £19,000 per year for three years to cover tuition fees and maintenance allowance.

The funding is provided for three years commencing in academic year 2018-19

Continuation of award

Continuation of the award is subject to satisfactory progress.

Two PhD scholarships will be available in the Faculty of Humanities for applicants commencing their doctoral programme in 2018-19

Selection body

Nominations from schools will be considered by the Faculty of Humanities committee. Nominations which do not meet the eligibility criteria will not be included in the Faculty committee consideration.
