Chevening Scholarships
Overview
The Chevening Programme, which is funded by the UK Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO) and partner organisations, was established in 1983 and has developed into a prestigious international scheme. Chevening Scholars come from more than 150 countries and territories worldwide (excluding the USA and the EU) and in 2018/19 the Scholarships are supporting some 1,800 individuals. There are over 50,000 Chevening alumni around the world who comprise an influential and highly regarded global network. Awards are typically for a one-year Master’s degree, in any subject and at any of the UK’s leading universities.
Chevening offers a unique opportunity for future leaders and influencers from all over the world to develop professionally and academically, network extensively, experience UK culture, and build lasting positive relationships with the UK.
