Durham Inspired - North East Scholarships
Overview
We are delighted to announce the introduction of the Durham Inspired - North East Scholarships which have been specifically designed to support applicants from the North East of England.
Three scholarships are available to award to applicants commencing their studies in October 2020, providing £4,000 per academic year

Eligibility criteria:
-
have a household income below £42,875.00 as determined by Student Finance England
- be resident in one of the following North East postal regions; CA, DH, DL, NE, SR or TS

The length of your undergraduate programme for a maximum of 4 years

Prospective applicants must:
Stage 1: submit an academic application to Durham University via UCAS for an available programme of study.
Stage 2: Submit an online scholarship application including a personal statement of no more than 4,000 characters explaining; Why you have chosen Durham University, any barriers to further education that you current face and how the Durham Inspired - North East Scholarship would help you.
request a character reference from one of your teachers in support of your scholarship application to be sent by email to [email protected]. Please ensure your referee submits the reference on letter headed paper which contains their name, position, contact details, the name of the scholarship and your full name.
submit a copy of your Student Finance England letter confirming your student loan and grant entitlement to [email protected]. (If you are waiting for confirmation of your grant entitlement please submit your scholarship application and forward details of your grant entitlement to [email protected] as soon as you can)
