Great Scholarship 2020 – China
Overview
This year, in partnership with the British Council and the GREAT Britain Campaign, The University of Buckingham are offering 2 scholarships to students from China applying for postgraduate courses Business, Computing, Humanities and Law.
This scholarship scheme is part of the “GREAT Scholarships 2020” campaign, which has been launched by the British Council together with 36 UK universities to support more students in China, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand and Turkey to access excellent UK higher education opportunities.
The total value of the scholarship programme is over £800K and offers an exciting opportunity for students from China, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand and Turkey to get financial support to pursue postgraduate study in the UK. Students can apply for courses in a range of subjects, at the 36 institutions across England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland.
Which subjects are included?
The University of Buckingham is offering a total of two scholarships to students from China starting their degree in September 2020 worth £10,000 each. These are available to study at a postgraduate taught level in the following subjects:
- Business
- Computing
- Humanities
- Law
Who is eligible to apply?
Applications will be considered from applicants who meet the following entry requirements:
- Have studied in China at school/college level
- Have, or expected to obtain, the overseas equivalent of a UK first-class honours degree
- IELTS 6.5 with a minimum of 6.0 in each component
- Chinese passport holder

Prospective students should complete an online application form via our main admissions system.
In the section ‘Who will be paying your fees’ please note ‘GREAT’.
The deadline to apply for the GREAT Scholarship is 1 May 2020.
Each scholarship is worth £10,000 which will be discounted from the course tuition fees.
