Summary
OPITO, the skills organisation for oil and gas, are offering two scholarships of £6,000 each towards the students' maintenance costs. The scholarships will be awarded to students starting in September 2022.

Description

In addition, the scholarship recipient obtaining the highest mark in their dissertation at the end of their studies will receive a further £500 prize payment.

Eligibility

The scholarships are open to applicants holding an offer of admission for one of the following campus-based, one year, full-time degree programmes starting in September 2022:

MSc Safety and Reliability Engineering
MSc Process Safety.

The scholarships are not open to applicants wishing to study the programmes on a part-time basis.

The scholarships are open to all nationalities.

The scholars' dissertations must address the issue of 'safety in the oil and gas industry'.

Criteria

The OPITO Piper Alpha Memorial MSc Safety Scholarships will be awarded on the basis of academic merit, demonstration of particular personal characteristics and financial need (please see Guidelines document for full details).
