St Mary’s University London Celebrates Sports Journalism Success
St Mary’s University, London has an excellent & obvious reason to celebrate the success of its postgraduate program in Sports Journalism. The university applauds the glory of accomplishments by the graduates who have gone on to secure jobs at a number of high profile media outlets such as BBC, Sky News, CNN and BT Sport.
Daragh Minoque, the program director of MA Sports Journalism at St Mary who is celebrating his 20th anniversary at the University this month has expressed his pride & jubilation with these words “I’m just delighted that so many of our students are getting great jobs so quickly after completing their studies. Our focus on employability on the course is the key to this success.”
Amongst the fortunate students who are blowing the trumpet of success are Daldeep Kaur has just started on the prestigious 11-month BBC Journalism Training Scheme while former co-editor of the Sports Gazette, Matt Horsman has been taken a full-time job in rugby production at BT Sport. Young Sports Writer of the Year Finalist Nick Friend is now working full-time for SportProMedia in their editorial team.
Adam Samuel has shared his cit by securing 4-month internship with CNN International and will be working on their daily sports news programme. The former graduate Alys Bowen has started a full-time role as Interview Producer at Sky News. While students Emily Victoria and Ena Bilobrk are freelancing at Sky Sports News and Perform Media Group in Munich respectively. Ena Bilobrk is also taking on regular shifts with SNTV in London, who she worked for during the recent FIFA World Cup in Russia.
