University of Dundee in Top 30 Golden Age Universities 2020

One of the top Scottish Universities, University of Dundee is ranked 30th worldwide in the list of best Golden Age Universities by the Times Higher Education World University Rankings 2020. Other Scottih universities featuring in the list of world top 100 Golden Age Universities include Heriot-Watt University at 47, University of Stirling at 56 and University of Strathclyde at 65.

Golden Age universities include those universities which were established during the post World War II era which is often referred to as the golden age in global higher education. The universities considered for the Golden Age ranking by THE are the ones established between 1945 to 1967 and include over 200 institutions worldwide. These universities have been established for more than 50 years but are still under 80 years old. Golden Age universities are characterised by rapid expansion and huge investment in research and infrastructure.

The University of Dundee is a leading international Scottish university with a 22% international student population. Dundee was also ranked 16th in the world on the Young University Rankings by THE 2017 (for universities under 50 years old). The University offers more than 100 undergraduate courses in science, health, business, law and arts and humanities.
