University of the West of England Visiting Delhi
The University of the West of England (UWE) is the largest provider of higher education in the southwest of the country. It exists on four campuses around the city of Bristol and was founded in 1970 as Bristol Polytechnic, achieving university status in 1992. It currently has around 30,000 students enrolled from over 140 different countries.
UWE's focus on partnerships and links with major employers and a unique Graduate Development Programme offers opportunities for students to get real world experience with major companies and organisations like CERN, the BBC and Hewlett-Packard. It is one of only four universities recognised by the Forensic Science Society for the quality of its courses and has also received commendation from the Legal Practice Board and the Royal Town Planning Institute.
