Heriot-Watt University at SI-UK Nehru Place
Heriot-Watt University is one of the oldest universities in the UK and was established in 1821. Initially known as the School of Arts of Edinburgh, it was awarded university status in 1266 by the Royal Charter.
Currently, more than 7000 students are studying at Heriot-Watt University, where one-third of the total population is from outside the UK.
The University has five campuses globally, out of which one is located in the UK and one each in Dubai and Malaysia, respectively.
Heriot-Watt University scores highly for graduate employment, with 80% of students in graduate-level jobs six months after leaving the institution. Following the 2014 Research Excellence Framework, Heriot-Watt rose to 33rd position in the UK, compared with 45th last time. For three* and four* ratings, Heriot-Watt is ranked 22nd in the UK and 3rd in Scotland.
Heriot-Watt University also won the title of 'International University of the Year' in 2018 from Times Higher Education.
